Abstract:Abstract: Problems of valuing bilingual teaching more in forms but less in quality are still quite serious in China’s colleges and universities. Based on an analysis of the status quo of China’s bilingual teaching and reasons for its low quality, this paper has pointed out that bilingual courses should be confined to an appropriate number and the national assessment quota for undergraduate teaching doesn’t work well to increase the bilingual teaching quality. The author has put forward some creative ideas in establishing a bilingual teaching quality control system in China’s colleges and universities.
