Abstract As a subjective appraisal of the negative organizational environment caused by organizational politics, perceptions of organizational politics (POP) can greatly influence employees’ work attitudes and behaviors. This paper constructs a theoretical model which takes psychological contract breach (PCB) as a mediator between POP and CWB from social exchange perspective, and tests all hypotheses based on 435 valid samples. The results showed that POP has a significant positive effect on CWB O and CWB I, and also has a significant positive effect on PCB. The relationship between PCB and CWB O and CWB I is significantly positive, and PCB has a greater effect on CWB O than on CWB I. PCB has a partial mediating effect between POP and CWB O. At last, this paper puts forward research conclusions, and also points out the implications, shortcomings and future research directions.
