Using the social network analysis and statistical method to analyze the interlocking directorate network centralitys impact on firm performance of 144 listed corporations of Zhejiang province, the paper shows that the interlocking directorate network of Zhejiang province has a feature of powerlaw distribution.Based on this discovery. Using NLS regression analysis, we find the eigenvector centrality of interlocking directorate network of Zhejiang province is positively related to corporate performance, while the degree centrality has a negatively correlation. These empirical results remain robust when we use OLS regression analysis instead. The theoretical contribution based on these empirical results is that the characteristic of heterogeneity of interlocking directorate network is proved. The linkages quality and quantity impact firm performance differently. In order to exert the impact of interlocking directorate network on corporate performance, listed firms should work hard on linkages “quality” instead of expanding “quantity”, strive to build heterogeneous networks and avoid excessive embedding and convergence.
