Moderating Effects of Environment Dynamism on the Relationship between Strategic Flexibility and Firm Performance —Empirical Study Based on Privately-owned Firms in Zhejiang Province
Abstract:This paper divides strategic flexibility into four dimensions such as resource flexibility, technology flexibility, structural flexibility and cultural flexibility, which examines moderating influence of environment dynamism on the relationship between strategic flexibility and firm performance. The result shows that the strategic flexibility has a significant impact on firm performance, but the impacts of resource flexibility, technology flexibility, structural flexibility and cultural flexibility on performance are different; environment dynamism plays a moderating role in the relationship between strategic flexibility and firm performance. These conclusions are helpful to guide enterprises to formulate management measures that can improve strategic flexibility.
