Abstract As discontinuous career and borderless career are getting popular, workplace identity construction has become an active strategy to deal with frequent workplace identity changes. Based on the explanation of the connotation and characteristics on workplace identity construction, the present paper explores the valuable implication of workplace identity construction, and the antecedents in view of individuals and contexts. Then the paper proposes an integrated management model of workplace identity construction. In the end, the future direction of research about workplace identity construction and its management are discussed.
