Abstract Based on previous studies, this paper explores the types, the characteristics of internet channels and the effective management of internet channels by investigating the practice of Appcom corporate. The results show: internet channels are divided into direct and indirect channels and theses two types of channels have different characteristics. While managing internet channels, companies can use mechanisms used in traditional channels. Besides, companies should coordinate the relationships among different departments as well as the relationship with e-commerce corporate. The findings provide useful guidelines for the company that intends to choose internet channels, and develop current researches.
