Abstract Most enterprises do not follow the guidelines of Location Advantage Theory to select the area with obvious geographical advantages as their locations. The basic fact revealed a significant theoretical flaw in interpretation of enterprise site selection. To make up the theoretical deficiency, we can interpret this phenomenon from the perspective of location stickiness. The study found that non-rational decision making, regional relevance of business model, social resource, concentrating effect, depression effect and political resource not only constitute the basic connotation of location stickiness, but also formed the strong adhesion of enterprise site. Therefore, location stickiness has strong influence on enterprise site selection.
