Zhejiang Footwear Industry’s International Market Power Promotion in Global Value Chain |

Abstract Based on the phenomenon that Zhejiang footwear industry faces gradually serious “Price decreases as quantity increases”. The paper appeals the important reason is being controlled by the captive governance mode established by buyers in the global value chain, most of Zhejiang footwear enterprises are lack of international market power. To reverse such passive status, they must allocate the global factors by innovation and upgrade in the value chain to extend the international market power. Analyzing the internationalization of Zhejiang footwear enterprises such as AOKANG and KANGNAI, then the article put forward the extension modes of international market power, which has inspiration significance on the other labor-intensive industries.
