Although Marx did not analyze the theory of historical justice, he had a historical method of analyzing justice. Marx upholds the historical materialism of justice and proposes that justice is a concept with “historical” attributes, and that “the logic of historical thinking”, “the principle of historical interpretation”, and “the scale of historical evaluation” should be used to examine, explain, and evaluate justice. Different from “the thinking logic of idea”, “the logic of historical thinking” emphasizes that the concept of justice is subordinate to the real process of history; different from the concept of “eternal justice”, the “principle of historical interpretation” emphasizes that the concept and principle of justice are the temporary products of history; different from “the scale of justice evaluation”, “the scale of historical evaluation” insists on combining the mode of material production and its specific historical development, making objective analysis and scientific evaluation of social justice, and achieving the realization of justice by practical activities. “Historicity” is the ideological weapon of Marx's critical justice, with which, “eternal justice” is pulled back to temporary, procedural and relative nature, which strengthens the moral power of historical criticism and the historical depth of justice criticism.
