Abstract:This paper puts forward a teaching strategy for the British and American Literature Course, namely, the strategy of experiencing British and American literature. First, it expounds the negative and positive factors that give rise to the strategy. Secondly, it introduces the teaching strategy itself and, lastly, the paper dwells on the steps and processes the strategy involves in conducting the course. With the aim to reach expected teaching goals, the authors of the paper as well as the practitioners of this strategy have empirically found a teaching method in response to the embarrassing situation the British and American literature course is stuck in.
