Abstract In this paper the researcher presents the concept of “Environmental Awareness Communication” and builds the basic theoretical framework, including definition, conditions, approaches, disseminators and model. Then the researcher continues to discuss the environmental awareness communication that is implemented by one of the disseminators, i.e multinational enterprises,through the “external economic way”. Through qualitative research and quantitative research, the research demonstrates the effects of environmental awareness communication in the multinational enterprises by way of environmental management and environmental communication.Finally,for improving the effect of environmental awareness communication, the paper provides some constructive suggestions respectively for the multinationals, local enterprises and China government.
