Abstract In this paper, the author uses Moran I index to analyze the spatial agglomeration effect and spatial radiation effect of FDI and industrial pollution emissions of 31 provinces and cities from 1997 to 2010. The results show that FDI and industrial pollution emissions have significant spatial agglomeration effect. High-High centralization provinces mainly locate in eastern regions, and Low-Low convergent provinces mainly locate in western regions. From the perspective of spatial radiation effect, High-High centralization provinces of FDI mainly locate in the eastern coast. However, High-High centralization provinces of industrial pollution emissions mainly locate in the eastern areas of the north Yangtze Delta. These Low-Low convergent provinces mainly locate in the western areas. Therefore, the paper proposes increasing the standard and quality of the investment and improving the spatial radiation effect of central cities.
