Abstract This article verified the construct of servant leadership and validity and reliability of a new measure with a paired leader-employee sample and a supervisor sample. Results from an exploratory factor analysis(N=285) produced a five factor structure for servant leadership-altruistic calling, emotional healing, persuasive mapping, wisdom, and community stewardship. Results from a confirmatory factor analysis (N=304) indicated that the five-dimension measure for servant leadership has good construct validity. Data from leader-employee paired sample (N=209) were used for correlation analysis and results showed that servant leadership has good construct validity and empirical validity.
