Abstract Circulation industry has already become an important part of national economy of China. By applying the method of canonical correlation analysis, this paper empirically studies the interrelations between circulation industry and the others of national economy of China. It is found that circulation industry has strong pulling effects on other industries of national economy, and an increase in GDP of circulation industry by 1% leads to an increase in GDP of national economy by 0.1363%. Moreover, the contribution of wholesale and retail industries is the highest. There is a least interrelation between primary industry and circulation industry. The result provides the decision-making basis for developing circulation industry.
