Review on the Theory of Retailers’ Buyer Power |

Abstract With the ongoing concentration of retailing markets and the emergence of increasingly large-sized retail outlets, there has been significant buyer power of retailers. People expressed concerns with the buyer power in theory and practice. The objective of this paper is to survey the recent development in economic theories of buyer power, including the definition, the determinants, the economic effects, the regulations of buyer power, and the future research issues of buyer power.
