An Analytical Framework of Transnational Retailer Behaviors: the Case of Wal-Mart |

Abstract Recently, much attention has been paid to transnational retailers' investment and expansion in China, thus their development mechanism needs to be interpreted in terms of both theory and practice. From the perspectives of transnational retailers' nature, their resource characteristics and Dunning's OLI advantage theory, this paper uses the methods of normal analysis and case study to analyze the FDI determinants of transnational retailers. We put forward the specific meaning of OLI advantage model for the transnational retailers and propose a general framework of the FDI behavioral analysis.
