Abstract Service innovation is one of hot fields in present researches. However, as a very important part of service innovation, retail innovation is lack of enough attention and deep research. There are emerging retail innovations in the practical world. The driving forces and pattern of retail innovation are the focus of researchers, which are helpful for the generation and management of retail innovation. The past researches are simple and not based on the retailing competitive environment. Therefore, based on the results of service innovation, this paper constructs a model of driving forces of retail innovation. Then this paper explores retail innovation pattern and analyzes the Electrical Commerce from the innovation results to innovation dimension. This paper contributes to researches of service innovation and provides some suggestion and implications for the retail enterprises and innovation policy.
