Abstract How to acquire and maintain the competitive advantage by entrepreneurial orientation for family firms in dynamic and complex market environment is one of the most important issues in the current theoretical and practical fields. This article reviews and analyses the studies of the family firm’s entrepreneurial orientation based on a vast amount of literatures from individuals, organizations (enterprise), families and the external environment to generalize and summarize systematically the influencing factors of family firms on the entrepreneurial orientation. Then we put forward suggestions and expectation for future research in this field, as reference for academic study and business management practice.
