Abstract Employees’ organizational citizenship behavior is very important for promoting the enterprise efficiency. The paper focuses on the accountability function in the process of promoting employees’ organizational citizenship behavior through job satisfaction. Taking 237 employees’ data as the research sample, the paper tries to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior, particularly the media function of the accountability between the job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. We find that there is a positive relationship between the job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior, and the accountability operates as media between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. This paper indicates that when companies want to promote the employees’ organizational citizenship behavior, they should concern not only the job satisfaction but also the accountability.
