Abstract Entrepreneurial strategic executing competencies are no doubt one of the most important determinants of enterprise's strategic executing performance. An empirical study of 204 private SMEs' entrepreneurs suggests that entrepreneurial strategic executing competencies and their three dimensions take significantly positive effects on enterprise's strategic executing performance, and the priorities of the effects of these three dimensions on the enterprise's strategic executing performance according to their importance are as follows: strategic consensus building competencies, strategic control implementing competencies and strategic synergy advancing competencies. As the numbers of the shortage of the dimensions of entrepreneurial strategic executing competencies increase, enterprise's strategic executing performance goes down rapidly.
