Abstract The development of indigenous management theories is inseparable from an understanding of Chinese unique culture. However, the mechanism of Chinese culture on organizational behavior is an urgent question that needs to be answered. Through a systematic review of the existing research results, this paper first defines the relevant concepts of indigenous culture; then it explores the influence of specific cultural elements on organizational behavior based on cultural composition in terms of basic assumptions, values and subcultures,finally it reveals the institutional environment effect and individual preference effect of culture on organizational behavior from the dual attributes of the Chinese cultural context. The path of the relationship between Chinese culture and organizational behavior is constructed, and future research is prospected.
