Abstract Modern distribution enterprises play an important role in promoting the interaction between supply and demand, and the coordination between production and distribution, which can make the national economic cycle running more smoothly. This paper uses a multiple case study method based on both production and distribution enterprises to reveal the micro mechanism, that is, modern distribution enterprises can promote extensive contact and close cooperation between the upstream and downstream entities of the supply chain, so they can adapt to the changes of the market environment at home and abroad. Generally speaking, the new situation requires supply chain integration for both production and distribution enterprises, and the win-win expectation provides the basis for forming cooperation motivation. A variety of new technologies and new models introduced by digital modern distribution enterprises can effectively reduce the cost and threshold of supply chain integration, and result in the effect of improving management efficiency, promoting product innovation and helping build brand image, thus forming positive feedback. Therefore, we should give full play to the role of modern circulation enterprises, seize the opportunity to break through the blocking point between production and consumption, and promote the construction of a new development pattern.
