Abstract:In the context of anti-globalization, promoting the new development of SMEs specialization will help China break through the technical bottleneck. This paper takes the state-level specialized new small-giant listed companies as the research object, and empirically tests the influence mechanism of academic executives on the sustainable innovation of specialized new small-giant enterprises. The study finds that academic executives can promote the continuous innovation of specialized new small-giant enterprises. Perfect incentive mechanism and high level of corporate risk-taking strengthen the positive effect of academic executives on sustainable innovation. When regional intellectual property protection is strong and academic executives hold key positions, the positive impact of academic executives on corporate continuous innovation is more obvious. The research conclusions enrich the situational mechanism of entrepreneurial trait research, and have guiding significance for China to guide small and medium-sized enterprises to take the development path of specialization, refinement and innovation, consolidate the foundation of manufacturing development and promote high-quality economic development.
