Xiang Qiao's comprehension of the “Four Books and Five Classics” means to understand the sprint of sage, and then integrate the meaning. In his opinion, “Extension of Intuitive Knowledge” was Yang Ming’s original idea. As the principle of heaven, conscienceis based on emptiness, which can hold and extend into things. Vacuity and reality share the same origin, and the apparent and the subtle are inseparable.Xiang Qiao's “seeking conscience” and “seeking the lost mind” elucidated his own original ideas by integrating Mencius's “Doctrine of the Mean”, Yang Ming's “School of Mind ”, and Zhu Xi's views. Then he explored the relationship between Li-Qi and Tao-Qi.He integrated Lu Wang's School of Mind with Cheng Zhu's School of Principle, aiming at returning to the ideal personality of sages and classics, promoting the virtue of doing as things go, and finally forming the Utilitarian School.
