The judicial application of big data has two sides. The researches on relevant issues in China mainly focus on how to use scientific and technological means to combat crimes in the field of cyber-crime. There are few researches and discussions on the limitation of government power and the related legal due process. This paper attempts to discuss the two dimensions involved in the judicial application of big data from two aspects: one is the dimension of crime control, the other is the latitude of due process. Both of them reflect the concept of justice in their respective meanings. The author analyzes relevant judicial technical issues, in the meantime, points out that as judicial authorities in China, courts and procuratorates still have a lot of room to expand the judicial control of investigation power, and the application of big data provides a new opportunity for judicial authorities to strengthen the control of investigation power.
