Trade unions are inherently needed to represent workers in dealing with group labor disputes because of collectivity and organization of dispute subject, pluralism of dispute content, and collective opposability of dispute measure. However, under the administrative processing mechanism of dispute, the construction of legal system is ignored, and the role of trade unions’ participation in group labor dispute settlement are not clear, and there lacks the harmony of the coordination mechanism of collective labor relations and group labor dispute settlement mechanism, which resulted in the failure of trade unions’ participation in group labor dispute settlement. Therefore, it is necessary to perfect the relevant system, establish the way of the tripartite mechanism, and make clear the legal status of labor union in group labor dispute settlement, and to formulate concrete forms, conditions and procedures, and overcome the shortcomings of trade unions, and construct the docking system of the coordination mechanism of collective labor relations and group labor dispute settlement mechanism.
