Abstract:Economic factors on the real estate market is critical, but different regions have a greater influence on the differences. Different from previous studies in which the nationwide data are often used, this paper uses the macro-economic data and the relevant data of real estate of 11 cities in Zhejiang Province from 1994 to 2008. By building panel data model to test the relationship between regional macro-economy and housing price. We find that in regional economy, some economic factors like real per capita GDP, urban population, real estate investment other investment have significantly influence on housing price in varying degrees, and that the increase in real estate investment can lead to the rise of housing prices, and that economic growth has a significant and positive drive towards housing prices.
