Abstract Using survey data from Chinese Panel Studies of Entrepreneurial Dynamic (CPSED), this paper empirically explore the relationship among reactive role behavior, entrepreneurial orientation, and work-family conflict. The results show that reactive role behavior is not significant in decreasing work-family conflict, however, entrepreneurship-family conflict is significantly positive to the three dimensions of entrepreneurial orientation, namely, innovativeness, Risk-taking, and pro-activeness. The research conclusions enrich the workfamily conflict theory, deepening the entrepreneurial orientation research literatures, and also have important management implications for Chinese nascent entrepreneurs to better solve the work-family conflict and improve new venture growth in their entrepreneurship practice.
