Regional Differences and Macro Influencing Factors of Retail Enterprises' Competitive Capacity——A case of retailers above designed size from 31 provinces or cities |

Abstract Taking a sample of retailers above designed size from 31 provinces or cities in China, the paper evaluates and sorts comprehensively the regional retail enterprises' competitive capacity by factor analysis; By cluster analysis the retail enterprises' competitive capacity of 31 provinces or cities can be divided into four categories; By ANOVA analysis it finds there is a distinctive differences between eastern region and western region in China; By ridge regression analysis it also shows that the macroscopic factors including residents consumption level, urbanization rate, regional GDP, commodity retail price index have distinctively positive effect on retail enterprises' competitive capacity, but the salary level has a distinctively negative effect; Finally the paper carries on a lengthy discussion and provides some corresponding policy implications and its limitations.
