Abstract This paper establishes a growth model involving the structure of human capital, separates its effect to economic growth, and expounds mechanism and the path to economic growth. The result reveals that the internal structure of human capital is significant in determining growth efficiency. It increases the idiosyncratic human capital rate as well as the level of idiosyncrasy, and it implies an optimization of human capital structure. These changes will bring an increasing return to scale and thus enhance the growth efficiency.
