Abstract Unmanned islands development plays an important role in ocean development. Over 6500 unmanned islands, accounting for over 500 square meters and lying along 11 Coastal provinces and cities, is very rich in resources reserves.However, due to natural and socio-economic limitations, destruction on the China’s unmanned island development is serious ,such as lacking of scientific demonstration and planning, ignorance of protection and management, deforestation, quarrying Zhajiao and digging for sand beaches.In this paper, some suitable measures are proposed together with the principles of coordinated development protection, particularly for tourism projects suitable for the development of unmanned island, in accordance with the developing situation and existing problems of China’s unmanned island .
