Abstract Zheshang companies, so-called small-dogs-economy, are encountered with organizational innovation, for the reasons of structurization and lock-in risk, Yuan-yue cultural restriction, and the gap between Zheshang and global economy. Modularity theory cannot solve the problem of value module dynamic allocation in the value creation networks. The value grid theory based upon modularity and grid technology offers meaningful implication for Zheshang’s organizational innovation. To construct value-grid organization is a strategic approach for the innovation, and some methods are suggested at the end of the paper.
