Abstract: In the context of the digital economy, digital technology empowers traditional distribution to become digitalized and modernized.Whether digital distribution with various innovative forms effectively improves market integration and thus promotes domestic and international circulation is an urgent question to be answered in the current construction of a new development pattern of dual circulation. This paper analyzes the economic circulation from the perspective of commodity (and service) flow, measures the relevant variables at the provincial / industrial level, examines the market integration based on the two dimensions of relative price change and trade cost, and empirically tests the market effect of digital distribution. The study finds that digital distribution promotes domestic interprovincial trade outflows and international trade outflows. The promotion of the unified national market is reflected in the suppression of trade costs rather than the narrowing of price discrete.Digital distribution promotes domestic and international circulation by reducing domestic interprovincial trade costs, while promoting international circulation by reducing international trade costs. The research conclusions of this paper provide empirical evidence and policy ideas of the distribution perspective for fully leveraging the trade promotion effect of local demand scale and improving the domestic and international circulation.
