Abstract: With increased regional interaction in an open economy, examining the impact of a region's environmental policy on the efficiency of its agricultural economy must be situated in a network of relationships with other regions. Based on the Pollution Source Regulatory Information Disclosure Index of key cities from 2008 to 2019, the overall structure of China's environmental information disclosure network is examined using social network analysis, the characteristics of each province in the network are portrayed in terms of three aspects: network point-out, point-in and coupling, and the impact of environmental information disclosure network characteristics on green total factor productivity in agriculture is examined using a spatial econometric model. It is found that the evolution of environmental information disclosure network structure in China is a gradual process, with network density increasing year by year and with strong self-stability. The network point-out, point-in and coupling degrees have a significant and robust effect on green total factor productivity in agriculture. This paper confirms the potential impact of environmental disclosure network characteristics on agricultural development performance, with important implications for better assessment of the economic effects of environmental policies at the spatial level.
