Abstract This paper empirically tests the influence of managerial power on executive compensation and the regulation effect of TMT network, based on the managerial power theory and social network theory, with the data of A-share listed companies in China from 2010〖KG-*4〗-〖KG-*6〗2014.The research finds: managerial power significantly increased the level of executive compensation, but significantly reduced the pay/performance sensitivity of the executives and the TMT network significantly enhanced the relationship between them. This research can offer incremental evidence to the study of the relationship between managerial power and executive compensation. It provides valuable reference to the improvement of the executive compensation incentive system, the restraining of the managerial power and the regularization of the part-time behavior among the executives.
