With strong manufacturing companies as the leader of establishing supply chain partnership in current literature, little research has been conducted on the development of the supply chain partnership from the perspective of weak enterprises as a driver. Through the case study of Sunbuy Ecommerce Co., Ltd, this paper finds that weak enterprises can affect the behavior of strong manufacturing companies by virtue of the revolution of its dynamic capabilities in the rapid-changing ecommerce environment. Therefore, it puts forwards the conceptual model on the establishment of the supply chain partnership driven by weak enterprises, and points out three dynamic capabilities for weak enterprises: perceiving and reducing cognitive differences, analyzing and using operation data, and improving and coordinating strategy decision. Furthermore, it proposes a two-phase division of the establishment of supply chain partnerships: guiding phase and coordinating phase. This study extends the driver of establishing supply chain partnership from strong enterprises to weak enterprises, and explains it reasonably from the perspective of dynamic capability, which enriches the previous theories about supply chain partnership, besides, middle and small-sized enterprises who want to improve supply chain management can benefit from it.
